The Fall of Bashar Al-Assad
Produced between Damascus, Homs, Raqqa, Aleppo, Kobane and Hassakah, this project documents the days following the fall of Bashar al-Assad. Through portraits, ruins and reportage, this project witnesses a country suspended between astonishment, relief and chaos. Published by Le Monde, The New York Times and Libération, this photographic work explores the aftermath of a dictatorship: the reunion, the tears, the shadows, and the slow reconstruction of a people who, for the first time in decades, are looking the future in the face.
